For the Sake Of Love by Anamika Mishra Book Review

I found the cover of the book to be highly appealing, indicating that it’s going to be a love story! But there are so many love stories already out there. Was this one any different? Read below to find out!

Young, pretty and successful, Twisha Khanna has it all. She works hard and has no time for frivolities like love. After all, being the creative head of a happening travel magazine is no joke.

So when she travels to Shimla on an assignment, the last thing on Twisha’s mind is love. But then, life has other plans. On finding a stack of old love letters that speak of an unrequited romance, Twisha is convinced that she must find the man who wrote these letters and help him.

Along the way, she meets spoilt rich boy Alex, who is everything she would NOT want in a man. As the two try to reunite the old lovers mentioned in the letters, they are hardly aware that how they feel about love and life is going to change forever…

The LazyScoop Book Review:

Twisha Khanna, works for a travel magazine and is told to visit shimla for magazine story along with her irritating colleague Bobby. Their journey takes a turn when they discover some old love letters which shake them to the core. And thus begins the quest to find the man David, who is the writer of those letters and for the person for whom it had been written. Will they be successful in finding that person behind those letters? Will they be able to find the person for whom it been written? Will Alex, the handsome but arrogant grandson of David, get along well with bobby and Twisha?

I think this is one of the best love stories I’ve read. Why? Because there’s not even a single dull moment in this book. We constantly look forward to what’s going to happen next? For whom are those letters for? Will David meet Jasmine? Will Twisha meet David or Jasmine? The start of this novel itself is bang on with those letters, which you read and get insight into the writer of those letters, you wonder how the dates are moving ahead, how his life is changing and questions keep coming in your mind, will he get a reply from the other person or not? What’s going to happen in the end?

I loved how two love stories were intertwined in this book, one eternal and one establishing it’s base as we read it. Characterization is also good, Twisha being independent, I found her to be bit impatient. But she definitely is good at heart. Bobby is shown to be chirpy, and vivacious. She’s the girl who gets excited on small things and is generally very sweet. Alex’s character is good, but I couldn’t completely understand his thoughts and nature. At first he appeared arrogant, and then the opposite, I would’ve liked to know what makes him change his behaviour. There are other characters like David, Yanaji, Jasmine, Eliza and Chris who add depth to the whole story and each one has a purpose.

I liked the conversations between Twisha and Bobby, also the transition in their friendship was interesting to read. I think the writer of this book is really smart, she has woven a love story by adding a heart touching love story in the backdrop and she doesn’t let the story be monotonous by making all the characters different from each other.

The narration is simple and it wonderfully flows ahead. All the description of mountains and scenaries are beautiful written. The pace is apt, it went fast where it needed to be and gave ample description of emotions and feelings of Twisha where it needed to be, to establish a connect with the reader. The Climax of the book is unpredictable. It’s emotional and yet would bring a smile on your face.

LazyScoop Verdict:

There are writers who write long chapters and yet sometimes fail to establish an emotional connection with the readers. But Anamika Mishra does it beautifully, those small letters written by her are much more emotionally impactful. I think this is the best love stories coming from Westland, I found this one much better than their current bestselling love story novels too. This one deserves to be a Bestseller!

What is it about?

Their relationship and chemistry are blooming until Meher’s mom finds out about them. Atharva’s world collapses as Meher due to her parents ends the relationship and moves on. But that’s not where the story ends. There are a lot of twists and turns as the story progresses. Will the destiny unite them? Will Atharva be successful in his secret mission? Unns is a mind blowing Story of True Love, Loyalty, Betrayal and Fate.

LazyScoop Review:

Writer Sapan Saxena has woven a beautiful story with enough doses of twists and thrills. I was glued to the book right after the first page because the Teenage romance has been written in a way, that it seems genuine. And when the story shifts from romance to a thrilling drama, you just can’t stop turning the pages. I didn’t want this book to end because I got connected to the character of Atharva and fell in love with Meher myself. And I think that’s a huge success for the Author.

I thought the story would become predictable in the end but the climax proved me wrong. Last three chapters especially, made me emotional. And the climax of the book amazed me. Sapan Saxena ends the story on the most exquisite note possible!

Another element of the story is it’s pace, it doesn’t allow the reader to be bored. Chapters are not dragged and romance has not just been put for the sake of it. The names of the chapter are kept on 7 Stages of Love in Urdu viz. Hub, Unns, Ishq, Aqeedat, Ibaadat, Junoon and Maut along with Seasons- Basant, Herbst and Winter. And how Atharva and Meher go through these stages is beautifully described in the story. And what these stages mean, you’ll get to know when you read the book.

If a movie is made out of this book, it would surely be a Blockbuster! (And I hope they make one.)

This book definitely deserves to be on the list of National Bestsellers and I hope each one of you does yourself a favour and buys this gem, because you’ll enjoy the Adolescent love story, twists and thrills, thoroughly! This book has surprised me, as I wasn’t expecting it to be this good.

UNNS-The Captivation by Sapan Saxena, absolutely recommended by LazyScoop.

God is a gamer by Ravi Subramanian Review.

First of all, I would like to thank for making me a part of the book reviewing programme and also sponsoring the book for me. Thanks a lot. 

God is a gamer by Ravi Subramanian. Well honestly, this is the first book I’ve read of this author and in the starting I had no clue what this book is all about, I only knew it would be a normal thriller. But to my surprise, after reading this book I am super impressed by the author, this book is a power punch of thrill, twists and suspense coated with big dose of entertainment.

The story begins with the prologue where Vijay Banga, the President of MasterCard international and Joseph Saunders, the CEO of Visa international get shocked over an instruction given to Russian finance Ministry which could be a big threat for both these transaction companies. They end up in a meeting with Gillian Tan, a US senator to solve this issue. Soon after a year, we are introduced to how bitcoins came into existence into the world because of Wikileaks getting banned by both these payment companies, the reason being them revealing deep secret information about the US government.

Aditya a game company owner and his two friends swami, a New York International banker and Sundeep his partner at Indiscape gaming company and etios come into the picture. Their story has been written very interestingly. Varun and Tanya are two more interesting characters and their love story gives a new angle to the story, sensuous angle I mean. What follows then is a roller coaster ride of thrilling events where the murders take place. The characters whom while reading you trust, betray you. The three murders, one of which is of Gillian Tan (Sorry to reveal it) has been written so amazingly that you can almost watch the scene in your mind. Even the ATM heist which takes place after a perfect planning is written exceptionally well. Adrian and Tony investigate Gillian Tan’s death and come to some shocking secrets.

What’s Good: 1. The beauty of this novel is that it not only massively entertains you, with its enthralling plot, it also serves you great knowledge about the hurdles of finance Industry and securities and Virtual Money i.e Bitcoins.
2. Secondly, the thing I liked a lot is that the writer hasn’t wasted sentences describing clothes, their colors, etc much is left to our imagination while the story paces up, some people may not like this, but I am impressed, story seems to-the-point because of this.
3. The twists and the aura of suspense throughout the story, It almost feels like the story is playing with your brain. I felt I should make a movie on this in future if no one does. Even the Bourne movies would seem flat in front of this story!
4. The information shared in book. It clearly shows the author must have so deep knowledge about Bitcoins, facebook gaming, etc.
5. The smashing and shocking climax!

Ravi Subramanian’s Autograph: 🙂

What’s Bad: There’s absolutely nothing bad about this book, though I felt initially that there are too many characters introduced one after other, which might confuse some people, but as the story moves forward the nature of the characters become more and more clear. So, I think this not-so-negative point can be ignored.

BlogikPratik Verdict: Even a person more interested in reading love stories rather than thrillers would love it. This book will make sure that by the end of reading, you become a big fan of its writer. You won’t be able to even leave it from your hands until you complete reading its last page. Go and grab a copy ASAP!
